Payroll Service Receives ISO Accreditation for 2022
Our Irish Payroll Service has recently been accredited with ISO 9001 – Quality Management Systems, ISO 27001 Information Security Standards and ISO 27701 Security Techniques from Ireland’s official standards body – the National Standards Authority of Ireland.
The Quality Management Standard, ISO 9001, lays out the details of the standard operational practices of our Payroll Service. It is the world’s foremost quality management standard, used by hundreds of thousands of organisations in over 170 countries around the globe. It consists of all of our payroll service’s company policies, procedures and associated records. It ensures that our payroll service has a standard means of assessing our compliance against all of our clients’ requirements and external standards. It is meticulous work, but it is vital to ensuring we maintain consistently high payroll service levels.
The Information Security Standard, ISO 27001, details all of the security arrangements of Paycheck Plus. It is a means of assessing the level of information security compliance at Paycheck Plus. In Payroll Bureaus such as ours security of payroll data is paramount. It is vitally important to reassure all clients that at Paycheck Plus, we have control measures in place to verify our compliance.
ISO 27701 Security Techniques is a privacy accreditation, that we hold in addition to the previously mentioned Information Security Standard. This accreditation relates specifically to the management of personal data processing risks. It requires the implementation of a robust and comprehensive Privacy Information Management System (PIMS). ISO 27701 enables us to meet the privacy and information security requirements of the GDPR and other data protection regulations. It demonstrates that we have the appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data we process and uphold data subjects’ rights, in line with the Regulation’s accountability principle (Article 5(2)).
Achieving these accreditations means better risk and quality management for our clients. Although accuracy and regulatory compliance has long been at the forefront of our organisation, these accreditations provide demonstrable proof of our payroll service’s commitment to quality and security.
